We are busy at work but still have a long way to go before judging early Friday morning!
Large trees, shrubs, and structures have been placed as of Tuesday night. Single digit temperatures in the morning, well below normal, have been limiting our ability to move perennials and more tender herbaceous plant material into the heated trucks for transportation down to the show until midday, when the outside temperatures are in the twenties.
Our Mulan inspired exhibit is starting to take form and create multiple spaces with excellent views across the reflecting pond. Chinese artifacts and native Asian plants are giving our exhibit the soul of a culture half a world away.
